How Do I Make Less Sloppier Tiled Backgrounds for Myspace?

Alright, so I have a pretty good grip on HTML and Photoshop, but I can't figure out how to make backgrounds tile in Photoshop without them looking sloppy and off. Similar to what this would look like when tiled: http://xc9.xanga.com/60803a44c8633101297...
